Bee-line

My 4 year old son has a ton of energy (just like I used to before kids…). He needs to exert that energy every day or else he is bouncing off the walls (and sometimes his sister). My son has been really liking his balance bike, and at some point he wanted to get back on a little bee scooter that we have indoors for him.

Over the last few weeks, he’s been writing his bee scooter all around the house. He goes around and around the kitchen and he tries to go as fast as he can. It doesn’t matter that people are in the way, he usually ends up dodging them with ease. He doesn’t always avoid people though. It doesn’t usually bother me if he gives me a slight bump. If he drives the bee into my foot however, that’s a different story. He would roll over my foot every now and then and I have to tell him to slow down!

He always says sorry, but just continues on riding his bee until he is tired. I can’t understand why he likes this little bee scooter after years of not playing with it, but I’m glad to see it finally getting some real use. The real benefit though is that he burns a lot of energy in the house and then we can bee-line straight to dreamland at night!
